Veterinarian
Duties and Responsibilities: They
diagnose and treat injured or sick animals by providing medical care that
includes prescribing medicine, dressing wounds, performing surgery, and setting
bones. There is more than one type of veterinarian. They all do different
things. They also have some things in common. Most of the veterinarians work in
private veterinary clinics but some veterinarians split their time between
their office and farms or ranches. Some of them spend all their time in
clinics. It all depends what kind of veterinarian they are.
Salary: $96,140
Education: They have to complete a four-year
doctor of veterinary medicine program plus undergraduate school. They’re also required
to obtain their license to practice in the profession.
Reflection: I would like to become a Veterinarian
because I love animals. It would be really nice to be able to help those sick
or injured animals. I would really love my job if I were to become one.
