Ambulance Dispatcher

Duties and responsibilities: Works in conjunction with the ambulance director of operations, supervisor or crew chief. Assist with answering emergency and non-emergency phone calls. Coordinate all ambulance transport and non-emergency phone calls. They must portray a positive, courteous, professional and helpful image at all times. Their responsible for contacting emergency services such as police and fire or delegating these responsibilities to the call taker.

Salary: $14.66 per hour

Education: They need to be trained. They also need to be trained on how to respond to emergency and non-emergency phone calls. They need specific training and testing. They need to be licensed.

                            

Reflection: I don’t think I would like to be a ambulance dispatcher. I’m not really interested.
