Athletic Trainer
Duties
and Responsibilities: They
conduct an initial assessment of an athlete’s injury or illness in order to provide
emergency or continued care. They also determine whether they should be referred
to physicians for definitive diagnosis and treatment. They evaluate athletes’
readiness to play.
Salary:
$35,000 to $75,000 per
year
Education:
They must graduate from
a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree program accredited by the Commission
on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. They also must pass the
certification examination conduct by the Board of Certification.
Reflection: I don’t think I would like to be an athletic trainer. I’m not really interested in that job. I never really thought of be an athletic trainer.
