James Freeman Clark

Student Success Statement

“It may make a difference to all
eternity whether we do right
or wrong today.”

James Freeman Clark

Reflection: Yes, I agree with James because it really does make a difference whether we do right or wrong today. If we do wrong today it leads to something bad and that bad thing leads to another bad thing and it just keeps on going and going. For example, you don’t turn in your packet for your geometry class it will bring your grade down, it will be hard to get your grade up and you’ll be stressing because you didn’t turn in your packet and its causing you all these problems. If you choose the right and turn in your packet on time you won’t have any problems and you won’t be stressing. You have to choose the right in order to not have problems.

Little Miles

What little miles did was amazing. He found a 20 dollar bill in a parking lot when he and his family were on their way to get lunch.  He has already thought about buying himself a video game with that money he had found. When he and his family went inside the restaurant he saw a soldier. That soldier reminded him of his dad because he was also one when he was alive. He died 5 weeks after Miles was born. Miles wrote note to the soldier in the restaurant saying what he felt and thanking him for his service. There he folded the 20 dollar bill and gave it to him. The soldier felt very honored when he read the note. He said that he would always remember that. He didn’t really pay attention to the money. What he paid more attention to was the note Mile sent him. He reads the note over and over again. He said that that note is what motivates him every day.

Tona & Christian

Tona & Christian

Tona is a woman in her 80’s who was visiting her husband’s grave got mugged. The man who did that to her eventually got caught. He didn’t get away with it for long. He was then sent to jail. He has a 15 year old son. He felt bad about what his dad had done to Tona. Christian’s dad and mom got divorced when he was two. Christian needed $250 for a band trip he wanted to go too. When he found out what his dad did to get him that money he felt bad. He met Tona in a parking where he apologized for what his dad had done. He said “If I wouldn’t of had apologized, then who will.” He felt the need to give her her money back. He gave her the money back and she took it. She took the money because she knew what she had to do with it. She gave Christian the $250 back for his band trip. Chris said that even though tour parents raise you you don’t have to do the same things they do. He also said that at times he would think if he was going to end up just like his dad. That was the reason he did what he did. Tona thought it was really nice of Christian to do that.
