with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while
he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”

Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: I agree with Abraham Lincoln. If you win you must win but you must be honest. If you win but you lie and you cheat then you lose.

“I trust that my
hard work will pay off.”

Tyler Haws

Brigham Young University

Basketball Player

Mormon Church Missionary

Reflection: I definitely agree with Tyler. Before I use to get bad grades because I wouldn’t put effort into my work and classes but now that I’m pushing myself to turn in all my assignments, do all my work, and work hard in all my classes my grades are A's and B's now. I push myself really hard in order to not make those bad choices I was making before.

Kindergarten Teacher

Kindergarten Teacher

In order to become a Kindergarten Teacher in a public school you need to have at least a bachelor’s degree in education and teacher certification for the state. A certification is usually requires candidates to complete student teaching requirements and [pass any required professional exams. Some common requirements are key skills, certification, degree level, experience, and degree field. In order to become a kindergarten teacher you need to learn how you work with young children. You can arrange a visit to a kindergarten classroom. Seeing a kindergarten classroom can help you decide of you really want to become a kindergarten teacher. You can also have the opportunity to talk to the teacher and learn some stuff.  Kindergarten is a very important year for students and requires some special knowledge from teachers. Kindergarten teachers must teach students basic skills in reading and writing in addition to showing them how to behave in the classroom and play nicely with others. Kindergarten teachers need to be able to see where the students are academically and emotionally in order to set goals for the class and individual students. All the lessons a Kindergarten Teacher gives are given in one classroom.

Brigham Young

Student Success Statement

“True independence and freedom
can only exist in doing what’s right.”

Brigham Young

Reflection: I agree with Brigham Young. Some people choose to do what’s wrong. For example, someone decides to go rob a house but then they get caught and they end up in jail. Choosing the wrong does take your freedom away from you. If you choose to do what’s right then nothing happens and you keep your freedom.

Keith the Football player

Keith the Football player

Keith who attends Ply Eagle Middle School was mentally disabled. He was in the football team and he had never made a touchdown before. To other people he was a nobody. His teammates planned out something and the coach didn’t know about it. They decided to not make the touch down even though they were close to the touch down. They protected Keith for him to make the tough down. His parents almost missed that moment that for his son was the best time of his life. They couldn’t believe it, they were shocked.

George Mitchell

Student Success Statement

“Many think that the short term gain
will be worth the long term pain, but
it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating,
and there in nothing worse in sports than a
cheater. Don’t do it.”

George Mitchell

Reflection: I agree with Mitchell. You might cheat and feel good and good things will come because you cheated but little by little everything will go away. It won’t last forever. Reality will come to you and it will hit you hard just for choosing the wrong and cheating. It’s not just sports you can cheat in. You can cheat in many other things but it is better not too.
