Reflection: I agree with Theodore Roosevelt. The bad thing is that sometimes people make the wrong decisions because they sometimes don’t know what the right thing is. They might think that their decision is the right thing when it’s actually not. It all depends on their situation.

Out of the 300 goals I have in my notebook I have 120 victories. I know is not even half but I feel proud that I have accomplished that many goals. Writing down my goals helps me want to accomplish my goals even more, it motivates me. The goals might be simple but they are my goals and it’s important for me to accomplish them.  


Medical Surveillance Technician


Medical Surveillance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: they repair and install a variety of electrical equipment. Some of them have to resemble equipment, replace defective parts and maintain records of labor time. They also have to lift heavy equipment.

Salary: $62,355

Education: Employers prefer to hire technicians who have received specialized training in a college program. They are often required to be licensed and voluntary certification is available. They must have a degree in electronics; they must have color vision and communication skills. They must also have knowledge on everything that has to do with computers.


Reflection: I don’t think I would like to become a Medical Surveillance technician. I’m not really into all these things they have to do.

Medical Service Corps Officer

Medical Service Corps Officer

Duties and Responsibilities: they control the medical service corps units during emergency and non-emergency medical situations. They also coordinate employment of medical service corps soldiers at all levels of command.

Salary: $90,000

Education: they must be degreed professional in their area of specialty in order to join the medical service corps. The must also take the Armed forces Vocational Aptitude Battery which is an exam that helps you better understand your strengths and identify which Army jobs are best for you.  


Reflection: I world really love to become a Medical Service Corps Officer. I’m looking forward to becoming something in the medical field and becoming a Medical Service Corps Officer would be awesome.

Duties and Responsibilities: They produce resources such as photography and graphic images for professionals involved in patient care. There are four specialist areas: medical art, clinical photography, videography, and graphic design. They usually work with hospitals, research establishments, medical schools, and specialist publishers.

Salary: $62,000 - $100,000

Education: they must have their master’s degree form an accredited two year graduate program in medical illustration.


Reflection: I don’t think I would like to become a medical illustrator because I don’t know how to draw. I think it would be really hard for me to be one.

Make-up Artist

Duties and Responsibilities: they make sure that performers, models, and presenters have suitable make-up and hairstyles before they appear in front of an audience or any camera. They interpret the client’s ideas and their ideas and produce a creative presentation. They create characters and images through the make-up, prosthetics, and hairstyles. They might work alone or with other people, it all depends on the nature of the job.

Salary: $66,330

Education: They are required to complete formal training through programs that at least require a high school diploma. They are required to have a state license, also when they work with hair. The licensing requirements depend on each state.


  Reflection: I would really love to become one. I think it would be awesome. I don’t wear make-up but I would love to become a Make-up Artist. I love putting make-up on my cousins and they always say they like it.

Reflection: I agree with Theodore Hesburtgh. I make my own decisions, but I don’t make them because other people make them; I make them because I know it’s the right thing to do. If other people make good choices then good for them but I’m not making the right choice for them, I’m making the right choice for me.  

Licensed Practical Nurse


Licensed Practical Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities: they care for people that are injured, sick, convalescent and disabled in a variety of health care settings. They provide hands-on care to patients. The have limited responsibilities.  They must work under the guidance and direction of a registered nurse or physician.  They take also provide basic bedside care. They take patients temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. They also treat bedsores, prepare and give injections and enemas, give alcohol rubs, apply icepacks and apply dressings.  

Salary: $43, 394

Education: they must have a diploma in practical nursing. They must complete a state-approved training program. They can also take courses in inflectional control, pharmacology, basic nursing, life span health care, and medical terminology. After the end of their training they must register to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses.


Reflection: I would love to become a licensed practical nurse.  I would really love to help people out when they need it and being a licensed nurse would be awesome. I’ve been thinking lately of what I would like to become and being a nurse was one of my first top options.

Reflection: A lot of people don’t think the same. I may agree with this statement but others might not. People make their own choice. If we agree with this statement then we will follow it. Other people could keep doing wrong if they don’t agree. We can’t make them change their mind, only they can.

Duties and Responsibilities: They monitor patents condition by observing mental and physical condition. They support patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services. They shop for their food and they do other household requirements. They cook for them and they also run errands for their patients. They assist patients by providing personal services such as dressing, grooming and bathing. They enable patients to stay home by monitoring and recording their condition. They also provide support and personal services.

Salary: $22,050 per year

Education: Educational requirements for home aids vary depending on their employer. There is no mandatory education needed. There are certification programs that are available.

 

Reflection: I would like to become one but I the same time I wouldn’t. It would be nice to help out people but at the same time I wouldn’t because if my patients delicate, it would be a lot of responsibility for me not to let anything happen to them.
